Designed by Governor General Award winning architect, Stephen Teeple, OpArt Lofts stimulates the imagination of the real estate industry by breaking the mould of the glass city tower. Offering a provocative first impression, OpArt’s two ten-storey towers atop a podium playfully appear as random bubbles of Swiss cheese. With a closer look, Teeple’s bold architectural move replaces the traditional curtain wall with a pre-cast envelope featuring perforations of various sizes in a seemingly random pattern. Stained in bright white, OpArt’s jigsaw facade cleans up a rugged footprint in a former industrial site at the top of Kerr Village and becomes the catalyst for Oakville’s revitalization plan for this historic area.
Location
OpArt Lofts will offer 188 modern loft residences to Oakvillers, with 10-foot ceilings, convenient and relaxing amenities, and sophisticated interior design. Designed by Stephen Teeple of Teeple Architects, with interiors by Cecconi Simone, the structure is rooted by a two-storey podium, with two loft towers rising a further eight-storeys on top.
OpArt Lofts will be located in the heart of the rapidly-redeveloping Kerr Village near the city center, just a stone's throw away from Oakville GO Train station. Additionally, countless shops, restaurants and amenities are located nearby, with more on their way -- as the city invests in new ventures in urban design and growth. Another new condo project, Rain, by Empire Communities, will rise immediately south of OpArt
